A Wal-Marts pharmacy in northeast Calgary is shutting down after it was burglarized and taken over by the police department, according to police.

On Sunday, a male suspect entered the pharmacy at 6:40 a.m. and stole a number of items, including a credit card, wallet, laptop computer, cash, cashier’s check and $200 in cash, according the Calgary Police Service.

When police arrived at the location, they found a woman inside with what appeared to be a small amount of cash, police said in a news release.

A female was later arrested and was expected to be charged with attempted murder.

The pharmacy has been closed since Friday and police are still investigating.

Police do not believe anyone was targeted, but will not be releasing any further information until the investigation is complete, the news release said.
