Antonio ConTEs ‘new” in the dressing room of Chelsea.
The Chelsea coach, whose team lost 1-0 to Manchester City on Wednesday, was the subject of a flurry of tweets on Tuesday evening after the game.
He did not have his usual smile on, but it was apparent that he was looking for something to do.
His last tweet was the day before he was to start the match against Liverpool.
His face was also covered with a smiley face.
He had already won the Italian title with Juventus in 2015, so he was probably looking for an occasion to shake things up.
“First of all, I’m a man who loves his players, he loves the fans, he has great players who he is proud of. “
I’m going to give you a few words,” Conte told the players before kick-off.
“First of all, I’m a man who loves his players, he loves the fans, he has great players who he is proud of.
And I want to say thank you to them, the fans.
You’re my heroes.”
Conte was quick to point out that he has always been a “tough man” and a “nice man” as well.
“As a player I am always going to be tough, but as a coach, I have a big responsibility to the team and to the players, because they’re my most important asset,” he said.
“If you give them everything you have, you have to work very hard.”
Contes was referring to the fact that he is a hard man who “never loses his cool”.
“The fans are always in my corner, and I know it because I am in their corner,” he added.
“So I know that if you can make them understand that I am tough and a nice man, they will respect me.”
Contecos players also received a message on social media.
“Conte has a new look, a new style, and a new team,” tweeted Mario Mandzukic, who is on loan at Bologna.
“He has been working very hard, which is a new thing for me.
“Nice to see you here, Antonio!” wrote André Gomes. “
A new start!” he added, referring to Conte.
“Nice to see you here, Antonio!” wrote André Gomes.
“Very happy to be here, but my thoughts are with the players.”
Consecrocco said the “new” look was not his fault, but that it was the way the players were playing.
“It’s always difficult to do something when you are a player, but this was a new way for me, I think, of working,” Consecra said.
Conte also admitted that he would like to see more goals from his players.
“There are a lot of players who are really strong in the air, and who will score,” he told the media.
Contecoes squad includes new signings Fernando Torres, Eden Hazard, David Luiz, Pedro, Marcos Alonso, Oscar, Cesar Azpilicueta, David de Gea, Kevin De Bruyne, Oscar and Thibaut Courtois.
He also has young talents such as Yaya Toure and Romelu Lukaku.
Conseco has had a long term relationship with Conte and was his first coach in charge of a Chelsea team since 1996.
In that year, Conte led the club to the UEFA Champions League final against Bayern Munich, but lost to Barcelona.
Contes final season in charge was marred by problems with the club’s transfer business.
Conches team was linked with a return to Juventus after the club sold him to Paris St Germain in 2014.
